Piotr Kopiec, Ph.D.

professor in the Faculty of Theology of the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. He received his Ph.D. in Theology in 2007 and Ph.D. in Sociology in 2012. His research interests encompass both theological and sociological issues, mainly, contemporary Protestant Theology, ecumenism and ecumenical social thought, Sociology of Family and the Social Politics. He focuses on the questions of contemporary social changes and their theological and sociological interpretations. He is author of around hundred articles and six monographs. His last published book was The Christian Alterglobalization: The World Council of Churches in Favour of the Global Civic Society.

Péter Szentpétery, Dr. hab. (*1956)

senior lecturer at the Lutheran Theological University (School of Theology) in Budapest for ecumenical and religious studies (since 1990). He was in charge of the ecumenical and international relations of the Lutheran Church in Hungary in 1980–1989, scholarship-holder of the Lutheran World Federation in Tübingen in 1989/90. From 2000 to 2015 he served as secretary of the Ecumenical Study Centre in Budapest and from 2012 to 2014 as secretary of the Societas Oecumenica.

associate professor of Orthodox Missiology and Ecumenism at the Faculty of the Orthodox Theology, “Babeș-Bolyai” University, Cluj-Napoca. His main interests are intercultural theology and the theology of inter-Christian dialogues.

Prof. Ľubomír Batka, Dr. theol.

professor of Lutheran Theology. He teaches at the Evangelical Lutheran Faculty of the Comenius University and at the Faculty of Law at the Comenius University in Bratislava. His area of research is Systematic Theology and Theology of Martin Luther.

Prof. Dr. Reinhard Thöle, D.D. (*1950)

Emeritus für Ostkirchenkunde an der Theologischen Fakultät der Martin- Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg, Prof. h.c. für Ökumenische Theologie an der Theologischen Fakultät „Patriarch Justinian“, Bukarest, Pastor der Evang.-luth. Landeskirche Hannovers. Er war von 1992–2017 Berater der Evangelischen Kirche in Deutschland (EKD) für ihre Dialoge mit den orthodoxen Kirchen und 2016 Konzilsbeobachter der EKD auf der „Großen und Heiligen Synode“.
