The newly published book Dragon’s Teeth: Tales from North Kosovo by Ian Bancroft1 offers us thoughtful and thorough observations on social and political developments in the context of post-conflict ethnic relations in North Kosovo. A diplomat working for eulex (European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo), Bancroft used this opportunity to research, scrutinize, and interact with numerous local actors in situ from March 2015 until December 2018. This longue durée resulted in a very involved but unbiased set of essays with the author’s close attention to details of all kinds visible
